# Errors and limits

Errors use `{ "error": { "code": "...", "message": "...", "retry_after_seconds": null } }`. Use codes rather than message text.

| 400/422 | Invalid JSON/schema, unsupported capability or cost ceiling |
| 401/403 | Missing/revoked key, unverified account or invalid origin |
| 402 | Insufficient credits or no active subscription/evaluation access |
| 404 | Unknown or foreign resource |
| 409 | Changed idempotent body or stale attempt |
| 410 | Expired retained resource |
| 429 | Queue, issuance or rolling attempt limit |
| 503 | Source disabled |

Each workspace has a queue limit of ten waiting jobs and a separate 30-source-attempt/hour pilot safety budget. Running-job limits follow the plan: Starter 5, Growth 15, Scale 30; existing developer previews have one slot. Service capacity and per-airline concurrency limits can reduce actual execution below the plan ceiling. See [credits and concurrency](https://docs.farelint.com/credits.md).

Saved HTML links return `404 not_found` for an unknown capture and `410 evidence_unavailable` once the 24-hour capture retention has expired or the saved page cannot be verified. Reading the job again does not restore an expired capture. Older signed links may return `403 invalid_html_link` when their signature is invalid or expired.
